“SUNLIT FOREST II”

Because we managed to get “Sunlit Forest” to a
place where participants could finish it, the above painting is using a similar
method. Like all paintings, it is about
edges (it is always about edges)
Method: A series of glazes, enhanced light for a
dramatic affect and a wonderful lesson in negative shapes.
Brushes: 1” flat, #10 round or any suitable brush of
your choice.
Colors: Naples
Yellow, Permanent Rose, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna and Raw Sienna.
(The
brand I use is DVP, DiVinci Brand Artist’s quality but any brand will do).
Paper: Quarter sheet of 140lb of any good quality
watercolor paper – my personal favorite is TH Saunders – either 200lb or 140lb.
You will also need: Water
Container, rags (cotton towels are excellent), sketch paper for exercises and
note taking and a hairdryer.
Class is limited to 15 For more information and if you have any questions call 823-1905 or email ja864@yahoo.com
Cost: $25 (no tax)
