WATERFALL
This painting is inspired by my back yard stream (embellished greatly)
uses only three colors: ultramarine blue and a little burnt sienna. The method is the background is painted into
a wet surface. The rest of the painting
has more detail especially when painting the negative shapes around the rocks.
The water is applied on damp paper using a natural sea sponge and a flat one
inch brush.
If you don’t have a natural sea sponge, you can use mine. Also new painters can use my palette and
brushes. Paper can be purchased from me
at cost.
You will also need a
plastic water container, rags (cotton towels are excellent), sketch paper for
exercises and note taking and a hairdryer is also useful. I recommend an
inexpensive watercolor pad and/or Bristol from the Dollar Store – the latter
takes washes very well and can be cut to size.
Class is limited to 15. If you have any questions call 823-1905 or email ja864@yahoo.com

$25 (no tax)
