BOATYARD in Acrylic

Acrylic paint is
vibrant, bold and tons of fun to use.
This painting uses a dark background of cadmium red light and Thalo blue
to emphasize the light on the boats and the truck. Foreground rocks and grasses are neutral so
that the bright colors of the shipyard boats are dramatic.
The under painting will
be done using a watercolor style. Those
who want to stay with watercolor can do so.
The acrylic painters will add texture as the painting proceeds.
What you will
need: For acrylics - Cadmium Red light,
Naples yellow, Pthalo Blue, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine Blue and Titanium white.
For Watercolor – permanent red, raw sienna, burnt sienna, ultramarine blue and
Prussian blue.
One 16x20 canvas or
half sheet of watercolor paper
