Lesson Plan for Tuesday,
October 13th, 2009
Title: “Coming out of the Mist”

It takes skilled fishermen to maneuver a cape boat
on the wild
Brushes: 1” flat,
#10 round or any suitable brush of your choice.
Colors: The ocean is painted in a combination of
ultramarine blue, raw sienna and burnt sienna.
The cape boat is orange which can be cadmium orange or a mixture of
permanent red and gamboges yellow.
(The
brand I use is DVP, DiVinci Brand Artist’s quality but any brand will do).
Paper: 140lb of any good quality watercolor paper –
my personal favorite is TH Saunders – either 200lb or 140lb.
You will also need: Water
Container, rags (cotton towels are excellent), sketch paper for exercises and
note taking and a hairdryer.
