“DOWN IN THE VALLEY”

The painting is about color and dimension. The house is below the horizon line therefore “down in front and up in back”. The dark trees give house and the laundry brightness.

Brushes: 1” flat, #10 round or any suitable brush of your choice.

Colors: Full Palette.

(The brand I use is DVP, Di Vinci Brand Artist’s quality but any artist’s brand will do).

Paper: Any brand of 140 or 200 lb watercolor paper.

Brushes: One inch flat and size 10 or 12 round

Palette: One with deep enough wells to hold a fair amount of pigment

You will also need: Water Container, rags (cotton towels are excellent), sketch paper for exercises and note taking and a hairdryer.
